My baby boy FINALLY learned to roll from his back to his belly! Let the celebration begin!
He has been doing it for a couple of weeks. Hey, it only took 9 months! I guess Annie was right when she reassured me that he wouldn't be 5 when he learned to do it. Man, he is so agile!
Finally talked her into cutting her hair! It looks a little shorter than it actually is in these pics. She does look so much older. I think it's the head tilt, strike a cute pose, look! I love it, she loves it so big hit!!
Me: Awww...it's your school pic. Hey, how come you are not showing your teeth with your smile?
Ella: Oh.....it's my new smile.....I like it!
Me: oh...really.....me too.
Finally around to posting Ryder's 2 year old pics! So, what has my little two year old been up to?Well, let me just tell you a few things about this adorable guy!
-He still goes to sleep great! And is still in a crib even though he can crawl (more like jump) right out. Annie gives me grief about this! I'll be moving him soon. ;)
-His smile can light up a room. He is just happy about life! Give him a piece of string, balloon, ball and he could not be happier!
-I thought when Ry was a baby that he was going to be my laid back kid. WRONG! He has definitely got some spunk! If I could bottle up his energy and sell it..... millionaire!
-He has got the BEST laugh. We get to hear it real good when Daddy tickles him. Very ticklish!
-Other than the random fits (I mean he is 2) he is a pretty good little guy!
-He is showing more independence all the time. He follows sister around doing all she does. (This scares me somewhat) He always thinks he is big enough to hang with the older cousins!
-He has started a fascination with Cars and Spiderman!
-He still has a pretty good appetite. Will pretty much eat what you put in front of him.
-Starting to talk more and more all the time. Always puts "Mommy" at the end of everything! "Drink, Mommy" "Go bye-bye, Mommy" "Stop Ella, Mommy!" "Cungry(hungry), Mommy" I LOVE this!
-Now that he gets himself out of bed he'll usually come to my room in the morning and crawls into bed with me and lays on his back and does not budge! I mean, he lays not moving a muscle, awake, until I say "let's get up!" And then giggles and bounces out of bed!
-Love his crazy spikey hair, his Fred Flinstone feet, white pastey complexion ;), his ears and of course his all out, no holding back big ole grin!
He is my little big guy who has introduced me to the world of boys and I am loving every minute (well, most minutes ;)!!!
So, he's been 8 months for a few weeks now but I am trying to catch up!;) So what has been up with my little guy lately. He now sleeps without the Guardian Sleeper! Don't be mistaken, he still can't roll from his back to his belly. He just doesn't have to be flipped at night anymore. I think it is because he crawls around the crib now instead of just immediately flipping to his back. That's right, he can crawl, sit himself up and pull up but the poor little 8 monther CAN'T roll to his belly. Hopefully he will be able to before he turns 5! So ever since he started crawling he is now the best baby. Happy to get where he wants to go and he just does his own thing. He'll be playing in the living room and then I'll find him in the Toy room. I am really lucky that he hasn't started putting stuff in his mouth. He hasn't quite mastered this yet. Oh yes, NEW accomplishment, he pulls up. He thinks he is so big when he does this too! He is still so smiley and LOVES to be tickled. He also will belly laugh at his brother and sister when they dance for him! Really cute! He has a great appetite and loves his bottles. I just stare at his adorable face and my heart melts. Just to think that I cried when I found out about his pregnancy. I don't know what I would do without him. Love me some Brockers!!!!
Alright, I am bringing my blog back to life and I am starting out with my Halloween post. I have a lot to catch up on so hopefully I"ll catch up by the end of the week!;)
We went to Woodward for the weekend. Spending Halloween with all the kids was just too fun. It have been a tad stressful getting 11 kids ready for Halloween under one roof but we survived and have pictures to prove it. Ella was Elfaba, The Wicked Witch of the West, from the broadway show Wicked. Elfaba is not really wicked just misunderstood, maybe, much like Ella! I think Ella really just wanted to paint her face green. The face paint lasted a total of 5 minutes before she started scratching. Like I predicted, as the older kids started getting their costumes on Ryder FREAKED out. Crying, hating it, scared of EVERYONE. We got him calm and forced him into his costume and then he seemed to be over it. I think it was the thought of getting candy that brought him back to the world of sanity. The boys were adorable. Ryder as Frankenstein and Brock as the Mad Scientist. We could not stop laughing at him in his glasses. It was great!
We went to my parent's church Kids Fest. Lots to do and the kids had a blast. They played games and got loads of candy. It was a huge success.
We are back at home and now I have to try and convince my kids that we don't eat candy for every meal of the day!

What has Brock been up to since turning 7 months:
-still CAN NOT roll from his back to his belly (FUN for mommy)
-loves to watch his sister and brother play around him
-loves to eat, A LOT
-is getting really close to crawling
-sleeps great
-is still a very smiley baby
-is going through a "hold me" all the time phase
-LOVES bath time
-has survived Ella carrying him around and Ryder standing on him!
AND he is still my precious Brocker!!!!!!

Ella had her first soccer practice last night. She was so excited all day long. I basically could get her to act or do whatever I wanted yesterday by just saying "you want to go to soccer practice don't you?" It was great. I hope this works a little bit longer.
When it was time to get her cleats and shin guards on I told her to go get ready. She comes out of her room wearing a sparkley, pink dress with earrings. "Ella, you can't wear that to soccer practice." Ella, "why not, I need to look cute!"
After explaining what soccer is all about and how she needs soccer gear she was ok with changing. I then proceed to put my shoes on and Ella comes out of the toy telling me to smell her soccer ball. "Doesn't my ball smell good. I put lotion on it. I am ready to play soccer."
So now that we have the right attire and lotioned ball off we went. She was too adorable out there. My not so shy girl runs straight on the field and starts talking to any team member that would talk to her, while portraying her mad skills of course! Cooper then arrived at practice and she was beyond thrilled to have him there. They did a few drills, stopped to hydrate and then they had one ball on the field and all the kids were to try and get the ball and score. Basically they all blobbed around the ball. Coop did make a break away and went and scored! Ella was very excited "YEAH, we won!"
After practice was over I asked why she didn't go and take the ball. She said the boys were mean. I then proceed to explain to her that it's OK to go and take the ball away and get agressive. Explaining aggressiveness to a 4 year old was a little difficult. After a few minutes of not getting my point across. A light bulb clicked in her head. "Oh, so I can get the ball and not share!" I didn't want to start a 10 minute talk about teamwork so I just agreed. But then told her she still had to share when not playing soccer.
Her first game is Saturday. We are all very excited!

I didn't want to leave this little story out. Jason has been working LOTS of late hours. So one evening instead of pulling my hair out and running up and down my street, I decided to take my kids over to hang out with the Harrels. After being there a few minutes, Josh asked what is wrong with Brock's head. I didn't know what he was talking about. I go to look at his head and low and behold a big chunk of hair is missing. "Ella, get in here." She comes skipping into the room. "What is wrong with Brock's head." She gives a funny giggle and runs off. I then go and ask her again. She looks at me and is not quite sure what she should say. I asked if she cut his hair. She nods and then is a slow, monotone voice tells me she'll never do it again!!
Ella loves school which means she loves to play school at home! It's cute. Since one of her siblings in not mobile yet she has a "willing" student!

She arrived around 4:30 yesterday. Weighing in around 6lbs 6 ozs and I think 19 inches. Mom did great. Had a pretty good labor and is feeling good today. Oh, Dad did good too!;) Annie, me and three oldest Owasso kids jumped in the car and headed to Stillwater last night to say hi to the newest cousin. They were so excited to meet her. As you can see from Ella's pic with Heidi she loved gettin her hands on her. We just think she is precious and looks just like her Daddy. I can't wait to get some newborn pics of her! You are already loved like CRAZY Miss Heidi!!! Can't wait to hold you again! Love you, from your favorite Aunt!
