7 down, 7 to go!

It's day seven of South Beach. I can tell you it hasn't been an easy ride for me. My Husband, who also is doing the diet, just rolls his eyes at me when I talk about how I can't wait for the diet to be over. He is Mr. Disciplined, apparently. The first three days were my hardest. I called Annie wanting to quit every night. She talked me through it so I have continued on. It also could be for the fact that her husband doesn't think I can do it. Let's just say when your normal diet consist of peanut-butter sandwiches, potatoes, chicken and pizza and this diet consist of no carbs and sugars. I am not left with much. So it is hard for me. There are have been plenty of times that I have handed Ella a cracker, candy, etc and I just wanted to slowing put one in my mouth. I thought just one, it won't hurt anything. But the minute my hand goes to do it, it won't move. My hand is stonger than my heart. It is not failing me in this diet! Well, I have not cheated, to which I have to swear and look Annie in the eyes, because I don't think she believes me. I made a commitment to do seven days and dog gone it, I doing it. One thing that has helped is that I got on the scale on day four and I had already lost 3 pounds. Woo hoo!
So I will carry on through this struggle and look toward the end of this fight where there is a peanut-butter sandwich and Totinos pizza waiting for me.

By the way your are allowed 2 teaspoons of peanut butter a day. I tell you that I savor every lick!!

I would like to thank Noelle for her much needed prayers!

****Update****
I have been asked by many about what in the world I have been eating. My daily intake for the last week consist of eggs, stick cheese, sugar-free pudding, a spoonful of peanut-butter, sometimes slices of turkey, grilled chicken breast and then a carb-free fudge bar for my evening snack. Yes, that's it everyday and looking forward to it being over!

I will be honest and tell you that when I gave it a shot it only lasted for 4 days. Yep, it is pathetic and I am really trying to figure out what you have been eating!

Don't even get me started on these no carb diets and the ketoacidosis it throws your body into!! Kudos on your will power anyway, I guess. And really, what are you eating??

I never even give the South Beach diet a thought because I COULD NOT DO IT! It sounds like you and I have the same normal diet - bread, pizza, peanut butter... Congrats on the will-power to make it through - I'm envious, I have none when it comes to eating my peanut butter sandwiches! You're half-way there!!

I am soooo proud of you! You are much stronger than I would ever be! Even with only one day left, you would not give in to me saying, just have one piece of pizza! You are amazing!
