Snow Day!

Alright, my poor, poor blog. I can't believe I have neglected it for so long. I get on and look at other's blogs everyday so I don't know why I let mine slip away. Well, it's a new year and I am determined to stay up with it. I get the occasional family members asking me about it but truthfully I started this blog to keep my memories of my kiddos. I have already printed two years of blog books and I want to keep up with it. It is really a lot easier than scrapbooking and such an easy way to keep up with the cute and not so cute things the kids do. So here's to the new year and "new" blog!

Anyway, we had our first official snow day yesterday. The kids were dieing to get out and play in it. So 20 minutes later, bundling up took FOREVER, they were ready to go. I ventured out with my camera to capture their first snow play of 2011. It was COLD! With each passing minute I started to loose feeling of my fingers and having to pick Brock up every other minute from him falling, needless to say, I was ready for my snow play to be over. Ella just loved it. She made snow angel after snow angel. Ryder then would try and copy her and he just ended up with a lot of snow in his pants. He wanted to make snowballs so bad. The snow was just too soft and wouldn't pack. This was probably the best for all of us in his throwing distance. Brock had a love/hate relationship with the snow. Loved running around, but then would fall and cry. I would then pick him up and the running and laughing and then falling and crying.....Seriously, I kept trying to coax him inside. He wouldn't go for it. So once the kids mittens started to get wet, we just don't have good snow gear, they started to get cold. I was so ready to come inside. Once the older two made their way in and I chased Brock down we started the removal of cold, wet clothes. Brock is screaming at this moment. It took him awhile to come to terms with not going back outside. The rest of the day we spent in the warm, comfort of the house. Just the way I like it.

Today, school was cancelled again. Crazy. The roads aren't even bad. Owasso surprises me sometimes. They don't do it like Woodward. We just had to slide into the school parking lot when I was in school. So we are getting to enjoy a nice long weekend. Although, sometimes I feel I can get more done when I am on a schedule. Haha. Just kidding I really can't ever get anything done schedule or not.

Cute pics! That one with Brock crying reminds me of how Camden had a love/hate relationship with the snow, also...
